Welcome one, welcome all!! We are excited to continue Confessions of a Wedding Photographer: AMP Vendor Highlight with...
here in Dallas! I have had the pleasure of working with Lovely Bride several times this year, so I thought it was a perfect time to share their story and just how PRECIOUS their boutique is. I got to meet with some of the lovely ladies, as well as their owner, Tory, and take images of their boutique last week!
Lovely Bride Dallas is located right here in Dallas off of Routh Street in the Uptown area, but they service clients around the world! They have several locations all around the US, for example, Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, NYC, and many more. Head to their website HERE to see if they are in your city! I asked for Tory to walk us through her story on how her business got started and here's what she had to say...
“After relocating to Texas to be with my now husband, it felt like the perfect time & place to go for it! I have a Merchandising, Apparel & Textiles degree and always wanted to own my own shop.”
And she said the reason she got into the wedding industry was just because of a FLOWER SHOP! “I grew up in a flower shop where I became obsessed with all things wedding. I started buying bridal magazines on the regular when I was 8!”
How cute is that?!
Tory said about Lovely Bride that, “Our shop is nestled in a historic district of Uptown, Dallas! There are a lot of old homes & brick paved streets; the vibe is everything. We really cater to unconventional brides looking for something out of the norm!”
So girls… if you want that WOW dress, you know where to find it. I mean… just look at this one we used for a recent styled shoot!
Tory says she finds her inspirations because "I count down the days to fashion week! I think that goes for anyone in the industry!." She plans on “bringing Dallas brides the most exciting designs from around the world!” and my favorite answer ever is that she said there are “ NO RULES! “ when planning your wedding!
So now… more of their gorgeous boutique that I had the privilege of photographing last week!
Thanks for hanging out and learning about Lovely Bride! Check them out on instagram

I am so excited to be shooting Amber + Stuart’s wedding tomorrow at the Marquardt Ranch in Boerne, San Antonio, Texas, so I thought it’d be perfect timing to blog their gorgeous engagement session. We photographed this session at Laguna Gloria earlier this spring & it was just the most fun… well that is before it started raining! Her red dress was the most stunning on her and I’m so glad she went out of her comfort zone for it! Take a look at these gorgeous images. You won’t want to miss it.
Christmas card season is upon us, so lots and lots of family sessions. I love giving back to the community that so lovingly gives back to me. The Cantrell’s + Posey came very prepared for the cold weather in their adorable outfits as you can see. I previously worked with Elie at The Yes Girls, which is a proposal planning company all over the United States. They are incredible and you should definitely check them out if you are planning on getting engaged. Hint hint, also reach out to me! Also, this cute little session got featured over at The Daily Dog Tag so you should check it out if you want to see more and more of these images!
If you are in the Dallas Fort Worth area, feel free to reach out to me in the next couple of weeks to get your family sessions done just in time to get those Christmas Cards done for the holidays!
On a gorgeous Friday afternoon, Josh took Landry on a road tour around the campus of The University of Alabama, just like they used to in school. They would ride around in his Charger and reminisce on the good days of college. From The Quad to Bryant Denny Stadium to East Edge to finally the lawn, where Josh says, "We became us!" Landry lived in East Edge when she met Josh. It was across from the lawn of the Law School at Alabama. They would go over and make a little picnic on the lawn & talk for hours and hours. So that's what he did. The driving around, the picnic, the whole 9 yards... except this time, the picnic ended a little differently. After about 30 minutes of picnicing, Josh grabbed her hand and brought her to a stand! Nervously, Josh told Landry how the last years have been the best and he can't wait to spend the rest of his life with her. Josh got down on one knee & asked Landry to marry him! The best reaction from Landry brought me to tears while I was photographing!
In there you will see a new friend…. that’s Albert! Another ADORABLE part of this proposal is that Josh is a Tuscaloosa Cop, so hence the handcuffs. *CUFFED TOGETHER FOR LIFE* One of his partners knew about the proposal and couldn't miss it. Albert sat in the parking lot across the street and watched the WHOLE thing unfold. (I added some images of them with Albert at the bottom). BUT THE BEST PART. After the excitement of getting engaged, Albert went over his loud cop car speaker and said, "Congrats buddy!". It was the SWEETEST ever! Then Albert came over to celebrate with us.
I am so glad I was able . to be a part of their love story from the beginning and now to continue it! Well wishes to the happy happy couple! I love you both so much!
