You know those clients that you just absolutely fall in love with? Well for me, it's the Morton Family. This family has always held a special place in my heart. After shooting Britanny & Jason's 2014 wedding and then shooting Camilla at only 9 days old, I knew they were going to be clients for a lifetime.
Camilla Shelby is now 8 months old and smilier than ever, which you'll be able to tell very quickly. Between Mama's love & Daddy's kisses, Mills was just as cute as can be. I love when clients become more clients, so thank you Morton family for doing that. As sad as I am to be leaving Tuscaloosa, I know that when I come back to visit, this family will be first on my list to shoot. Shooting in the Tuscaloosa Arboretum is always a treat and this sunny spring day was nothing short of perfection.
Stay tuned for this shoot getting featured later this summer! I am thrilled about it and will be sharing it as soon as it does. As of this past Saturday, I am an Alabama alumni and ready to take on the big world. Stay tuned for a blog post soon about my next steps into the real world.
Miss Cealie Evans is one of the most gorgeous girls, inside and out, that I've ever met. She has such a loving, kind heart and a fun attitude, especially when she's behind the camera. Cealie is a freshman at American Christian Academy here in Tuscaloosa. We connected through social media and put a date on the calendar right away. We had a blast moseying around Northport, AL a couple weeks ago. We started in a field right in front of the old railroad tracks where we proceeded to get attacked by red ants, but it was so worth it. She then stunned me in this BCBG purple romper that she totally rocked at the end of her session. I also want to thank her mom for coming along and being a huge help; it was so nice to meet the both of you! Thank you to Cealie and Dina for a fun filled day in Downtown Northport! ENJOY!
Camilla Shelby Morton is the sweetest little girl you ever did see. It's not like she opened her eyes our entire session, but that made my job easy. This little cutie was born Tuesday, August 11th at 2:50pm weighing 6'3 and 20 inches long to Britanny and Jason Morton. Photographing Camilla at just 6 days old was probably the best decision a photographer has ever made; I swear the time makes a big difference! I had the opportunity to photograph her mommy and daddy's wedding last year, as my first wedding ever. When they contacted me to do their little girl's newborn pictures, I was more than willing. As my first newborn session, I was so scared that I wasn't going to deliver the images that they wanted, but it makes me happy knowing that the Morton Family was thrilled with the images of their baby girl. We had so much fun tiptoeing around and quietly moving her from place to place, but she never woke up. I can't wait to keep up with this family and photograph this sweetie as she grows to be a beautiful woman.
