Abbie Mae Photography Rebrand

Hello everyone! Hope you are having a wonderful Hump Day morning! I know my rebrand has been out for a couple of weeks now, but I wanted to share a little more about why I decided to do it! When I first started Abbie Mae Photography, it came quite out of the blue.  I was literally sitting on my bed with my two best friends editing a beach session from earlier that day.  I looked at them and said, I think this is what I wanna do, and it became Abbie Mae Photography, right then and there.  I knew the talent I had was special and I wanted to put it to good use.  There was not much thought process behind the whole business aspect in the beginning, so when I contacted Lauren Carns (she's amazing, by the way) to do my rebrand, I knew there was going to be lots of thought going into it.

When I first decided on what aspect I wanted to go towards in my rebrand, I was nervous and very anxious to say the least.  I knew I wanted to keep the same uniqueness towards my brand, but put a more personal spin on it.  I wanted my logo to look handwritten, so it'd be unique to AMP and not anyone else's photography business.  I knew I wanted to incorporate an arrow decal, because arrows have been such a big impact on my life in the last four years.  In my instagram, I shared why I loved the arrow so much, and its because of this quote. "An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward.  So when life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means that it's going to launch you into something great." I think that everyone can really take this quote to heart and use it as motivation in their everyday life.  When I rebranded, I knew that I wanted it to be directed more towards couples.  I love working with all types of clients, but I knew that I specifically wanted to work with engaged couples and weddings. To say I'm obsessed with love is an understatement, so it only makes sense to capture it as well.  That is my goal as Abbie Mae Photography steps out into the world with its new face.

This rebrand is so much more me.  The colors, the brand elements, my new business cards; so much more me and that's what all I wanted.  We are currently working on launching my new website so stay tuned for that.  I hope you are enjoying my new rebrand!! Take a peak at what its all about.  And for the newly engaged, make sure to shoot me an email to start talking wedding plans!! Thanks again for stopping by! xo

Ellen & Kevin's Redondo Beach, California Engagement Session

Okay, about to get all mushy gushy here with these two.  I have known Ellen & Kevin since the 8th grade.  Yes, that's 7 years and they have been together every moment of it.  There's many ways to describe this couple, but inseparable is definitely one of them.  When you think of Ellen, you think of Kevin, and vise versa.  I remember the days that I would show up to school and Ellen's hair would be an absolute mess, but you knew exactly where she was.  She would get up at the crack of dawn just to go see Kevin surf before school and support his passion.

Ellen & Kevin are getting married this summer at The Redondo Beach Public Library and I am honored to be photographing their big day.  That being their location for their wedding, is exactly why we chose the location for their engagement session.  The day started off as rainy and cloudy, so we almost called it off.  But I am so glad we didn't! The clouds made for a mood and a style of pictures that I just fell in love with.  These two were so easy to photograph because they were so natural in front of the camera and their love shined.

Thank you, Ellen & Kevin, for choosing and trusting me to photograph your love for one another.  I am so excited to be a part of your big day this summer.
